Why use a supplier with their own stainless steel cutting system?

The first reason you want to use a stainless steel supplier with in-house capabilities in obviously on the grounds of cost. Cut out the middleman and the costs come down.

The second reason to use a proper stainless steel service is flexibility it offers you. We can cut your stainless steel whenever you need us to. If you have a rush job we can be cutting your stainless steel at 3am or on a Sunday. We have the machinery and the stock to do this.

You send us your design files and we send you back your stainless steel letters- it really is that simple.

You can have very intricate stainless steel letters. This picture shows a set of lettering recently produced for a customer in the Caribbean. The small dot below the letter E is actually a five pence piece!

Why not use an industrial metal cutting supplier to make your lettering?

You could quite easily do this- there are plenty of companies with industrial lasers who will have a go at cutting your stainless steel lettering.

This was our experience with general metal cutting shops.

Before we brought out stainless steel cutting in-house we used a variety of generalstainless steel letter metal cutting shops- the results weren't always good. Some suppliers would strip away protective films, cut our lettering and then throw it onto piles of other parts- they couldn't understand why scratches on the finished stainless steel parts were just not acceptable.

Other suppliers could not cut our stainless steel to the right size- bigger or smaller but never exactly the size we specified.

Sometime the general purpose metal cutting software our suppliers used just could not cope with complex letter shapes- we would either get loads of straight lines instead of curves or we would have to spend hours splitting up our design files so their software could process the data one letter at a time.

When we sent stainless steel sheet to our suppliers (they never kept sign and display grade stainless in stock) we found that our material ended up on a pile heap of other sheets either to get lost or scratched.

All these issues and few more besides convinced us to invest in our own stainless steel machining setup and specialise display metal cutting.

Wouldn't it be easier for you to deal direct with a specialist lettering company?

We think it would. We have seen what can go wrong with stainless steel projects put out to general purpose metal cutting shops so we have designed a system which eliminates all the problems and hassle.

Sign and display grade stainless steel kept in stock

We always keep sheets of Brushed and Polished stainless steel sheet in stock. For sign and display work you need the thinner gauges of steel so this is what we keep. We also use suppliers which we trust and suppliers which deliver raw sheet stock on time. If you need stainless steel work in a hurry we have the stock available now.

Software which handles sign "files".

Rather than force sign designs through sheet metal software we cut your stainless steel using software which handles typefaces perfectly. You will not have to split up large files either.

We protect all cut parts

If your machines mainly cut metal for industrial projects you might not see the point in wrapping each stainless steel part as soon as it's been cut- after all a few scratches don't usually matter. For us this is totally the wrong approach- scratches are major problems so we are obsessive about preventing them. Nothing leaves our factory unless it's packed and protected- this is especially true for stainless steel letters and logos.

Ask your supplier if they actually make stainless steel sign work- you might be surprised by the answer.
