Thick Perspex lettering,

You can have Perspex lettering up to 8mm thick.

Standard Perspex lettering is available in either 3 or 5mm thicknesses. We can now offer you 8mm thick Perspex lettering.

This new thicker Perspex sheet allows you to have lettering which up until now would have had to have been painted- with the expense and hassle painting involves.

Thick Perspex lettering in a good range of colours.

Thick perspex lettering can be machined from any of our stock colours. The most important requirement for any lettering material is colour choice. With our thick Perspex range you have a nice palette of colours to choose from, all  of which represent a stock colour.

Gloss or matt thick Perspex letters as standard.

Our thick perspex material comes with a gloss and a matt side. This allows you the flexibility to choose which surface finish to use.

Gloss side is best used for exterior applications of where you specifically need a high gloss finish. The matt side is great for internal work or where your thick Perspex lettering is going to be under harsh lighting- the matt side prevents unsightly glare.

How to use our thick Perspex lettering.

Our thick Perspex lettering can be used in the same way as 3 or 5mm Perspex lettering, using the same cup and peg locators and adhesives.

A good way to use thick Perspex material is to use it to add depth and dimension to your work. For example, you can create nice layered effects using a selection of different Perspex sheet thicknesses; if you want to highlight a logo or symbol then cutting that part from thick Perspex is an easy way to enhance the overall visual effect.

Other thick Perspex options.

The 8mm thick coloured Perspex shown here is the thickest you can buy- no manufacturer of acrylic sheet will make colours any thicker.

Clear Perspex is available upto 20mm thick and there are ways you can design your Perspex installations using a combination of different thicknesses and colours. One popular lettering product we offer is a polished 10 or 20mm clear letter topped with a coloured Perspex or aluminium composite face letter. This allows you to make a thick letter which looks very appealing. Couple this with the fact that you can shine light through the clear base letter and you now have a way of making interesting and dramatic illuminated lettering.

Don't forget we offer a full Perspex fabrication service too. From line bending to engraving and bonding we can help you make Perspex work for you.

If you are stuck for ideas let us know what project you would like to use thick Perspex with and we'll come up with some ideas for you.
